I've heard that the ash shell is lighter and faster than bash and is suitable for running shell scripts. Maybe someone could create an ash package and, if necessary, modify the scripts used in running Arch Linux to be compatible with ash as well?

Those kinds of posts would receive more attention in the forum "Requested Packages".
Anyway, why not do it yourself? By my third day of running Arch, I had already made three packages of my own, and I'm no super genious It's easy and fun.

I'm no super genious
I am, but sadly I have no time to build packages for mortals.
And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?

Me too, and I think that somebody who knows enough to request a lighter shell would be in a position to know how to do it too.
However, a simpler shell than bash... if we mess with it a bit, wouldn't a simpler shell fit in with thi Keep It Simple philosophy of Arch? I daydream of a lighter shell becoming the new default...
I'm going to investigate this ash; I haven't heard of it. Only right now I'm too busy with a bunch of other stuff so I'll add it to the end of my Todo list (approaching 1 gigabyte...)
