Flash based websites

I'm trying to view sites with Flash on them.  Generally flash works ok, until the entire site is based on it.

The two most annoying ones that come to mind right now are www.toyota.com (Yea...just try to select a car from the menu) and www.scion.com (which gets to 0% in konqueror and 80% in firefox and opera).

Is there a way around this?  Both sites work fine in firefox & IE when I'm in windows.  I know there are other similar sites around as well.

Any suggestions?  I've searched and can't seem to find anything, although I may not have searched for the right thing yet.  Dunno.

Re: Flash based websites

are you using 32 or 64 bit arch

i am using arch64
toyota no problem with  bon echo/firefox epiphany , konqeor & opera i cant access menu

scion = nothing will load that page but then again im on 64, not true flash

it maybe be how you have your plugins ordered
1st /home/USER/.mozilla/plugins
2nd /usr/lib/opera/plugins
3rd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
thats how opera is loaded

Re: Flash based websites

64 bit here also. I can either see the main slide show screen on Toyota or access the menu, not both at the same time. I found the menu by pressing the top left corner of the 'white bar' on top.

Scion... stuck at 80%.

Re: Flash based websites

I did find a 'workaround' to get them to work.  It basically involved installing wine, then Firefox for windows, and flash for windows all in wine.  Once they were installed it all worked there.  I would still love to do this through the native *nix apps though.
