udev camera permissions

I can use my ptp-only camera fine as root but as a normal user I get the following error:

An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not claim the USB device'):
Could not claim interface 0 (Operation not permitted).
Make sure no other program or kernel module (such as sdc2xx, stv680, spca50x)
is using the device and you have read/write access to the device.

The user is part of the camera, disk and storage group - I suppose some permission within udev rules to be the solution but can't figure out how to set those right. A hint would be appreciated.

Re: udev camera permissions

Hi luca

Sorry - I did not mention it but the user is in optical already - to be precise he's in abs, camera, hal, storage, floppy, optical, audio, video and disk.
