USB audio device resets twice in udev..disables(solved withusb hooks)

Watching the enabling of the device during boot, it is enabled as snd-usb-audio device but subsequently during uevents is again turned of and back on again.

When this happens, I lose all audio in kde.  It does not always do the same thing...some of the time it doesn't set up twice and usb audio sometimes is enabled...other times its internal audio...or none.

What hooks should be removed and how is that to be accomplished?

Re: USB audio device resets twice in udev..disables(solved withusb hooks)

Further observations.....

The keyboard is USB as well as the mouse and these are correctly enabled once only.

What is happening during uevents is that the keybd and mouse cycle on twice and the USB snd device "sometimes" is cycled twice.

If the keybd mouse and USB snd device are energized only once in the sequence, the USB audio is enabled when I reach desktop kde.

What action during the uevents boot sequence causeas such variable performance?

Re: USB audio device resets twice in udev..disables(solved withusb hooks)

Latest test results:  After power off......

During uevents in boot sequence, keybd-mouse on,off,on,off on......

The USB audio was enabled in KDE Desktop.

Rebooted:

In uevents....keybd-mouse ,,on,off,on....   No USB audio at KDE Desktop.

What causes the variable performance?

Re: USB audio device resets twice in udev..disables(solved withusb hooks)

Repeated the power off test.

During uevents, the keybd and mouse cycled at least three times and the USB snd device  cycled twice.  The result was a sound server arts message using null output device and no sound was possible.

Is this caused by uevents or USB interface devices?  What settling time is provided for USB devices in uevents?

How can I slow things down?

Re: USB audio device resets twice in udev..disables(solved withusb hooks)

Repeated power off test and received no USB audio in KDE desktop....

System response is unpredictable.

Seems like I need a wait time for Snd-USB-audio to settle....

Please advise which USB hook delay is changeable....there are two provided in my system as follows

       /lib/initcpio   (USB)

      /root/intramfs    (USB)
