Problems with sounddrivers

Hello,

Today I installed KDE insteed of xfce4. I wanted to use amarok. big_smile Great mediaplayer. But my sound did work perfectly... but when I was listening to some music with amarok I got a error that says: "Xine was unable to intialize any audiodrivers"... And now I don't have sound anymore. I need to start amarok first when I start my computer to have sound, but than other programs don't have sound anymore. If I stop amarok and start for example the myspace flashmusicplayer I don't hear a thing but then amarok won't play music either... weird stuff. :-)

Can anybody help me?

//edit
Now I totally fucked it up. I don't have sound anymore. With every program I try to play sound I don't hear a thing. And when I set the sounddevice to alsa in KDE's controlpanel it says:

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:

Device: default can't be opened for capture (invalid argument)

The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Can anybody help me?

Re: Problems with sounddrivers

Was your sound working earlier, but stopped working once you installed KDE? Or is this a fresh install?
