I'm having no end of trouble with the latest kernels. I'm not sure when the problems started so I am going to try downgrading until they go away, or build the kernel myself (might be a new feature being enabled that doesn't like my system).
After starting Azureus, playing video will cause the audio and video to stall for about 1 second and then it rushes to catch up. In fact, it seems like everything stalls (mouse cursor is also affected). This happens every minute or so. The problem persists even after closing Azureus, until I reboot.
df takes about 20 seconds to run. It seems to wait a few seconds for each hard drive. I think this issue appeared with 2.6.22.
I tried to copy a large amount of files (about 60GB) to a USB hard drive last night. It stopped at about 20%. I tried to kill the process but it would not budge. I could not even reboot - I had to sync, pull the plug, and hope for the best.
