Could you please add the packages for integrating into Gnome and KDE? They are compizconfig-backend-gconf and compizconfig-backend-kconfig. They add better integration in the DE. Thanks.

Yes it is safe ict, and I will add the 2 packages when I get home. I don't use them, so I forgot to create the pkgbuilds for them.

Simply wonderful. Just had to add x86_64 as an architechture in the PKGBUILD but not that difficult. I know this might sound trivial to all arch users but I just moved to arch, and boy, am I glad I did that.

I've added x86_64 to supported architecture and have updated PKGBUILD.

Is there a way I can use abs/srcpac to build compiz-fusion from nesl247's repo ?

Just browse to the repo's URL and the PKGBUILDs are there. I'm not sure about srcpac support but abs is probably out.

However, when i rightclick on the icon and click on preferences, nothing appears and i get this console output:

Yep, now change the 'g' for a 't' and thats what I am.
I could have sworn blind I didn't have the git version installed, weird thing was while doing pacman -Syu I noticed two -git packages to be upgraded so I just installed compiz-fusion-git and all is back to normal although I seem to be missing 3D windows, I think.
Many Thanks

Hello,
I've been working on getting Compiz-Fusion working for the last week, and have been having trouble at one part on multiple computers.
Everytime I try to run the command
compiz --replace ccp &
I get an error stating
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0
I noticed this was posted earlier in this thread, but I never saw a conclusion to it. (Axis was the one that had the problem)
I also tried reinstalling the lib as mentioned in the wiki for compiz fusion, but that did nothing, not to mention Im not even running the proprietry drivers.
Anyway, I ran all the previously mentioned debugging commands and got the same results as Axis...

Everything seems to be loaded and enabled, but still it wont work. I have the exact same problem on two computers, a HP pavillion zv5000 with a Mobility 9000 (or is it 9100), and a desktop with an ATI Radeon 9600SE. Both are using Open Source drivers with AIGLX. But on both Im having the exact same conditions and problem. Currently im running KDEMod on both. They are essentially identical setups. Any other information I can provide, just ask. Not sure if this is the correct place for this but here goes;
I noticed that 'nightfrost' is hosting a compiz-fusion repo too, I'd like to try out screenlets which is in his repository I had a look at my install from 'nesl' but don't seem to have /usr/share/screenlets is there going to be any issues if I add 'nightfrost's' repo (Server = http://www.naderehvandi.net/arch/compiz/) to my pacman.conf?
I know screenlets is in ARU but I didn't want to enable that really.
Thanks

I get the same error. Running the command "compiz-manager" used to work but now it returns a "command not found" message. I know my configuration is fine because it used to work with the compiz-manager command. It's really weird.

so the command 'compiz-manager' worked for you instead of 'compiz --replace ccp &'?
