xorg-server 1.3.0

Hi all, i've installed Xorg-server 1.3.0 from testing, and everything if fine. I have a monitor connected to my laptop and the output goes to my monitor and my laptop screen is off. The problem is that when i disconnect the monitor off my laptop i can't get output to my laptop screen. When i have my monitor connected ALT+F1 and ALT+F4 (option on laptop to switch between monitorss) doesn't seem to work, all i get is a black screen on both monitors. This is not the main problem as i can still get output to my external monitor. My problem is when i don't have a external monitor connected to my laptop i can't get output to screen from X (black screen). I can only use my laptop when i have a external monitor nearby sad . I understand that in my xorg.conf file i don't have the output directed for 2 monitors, but if i unplug my external monitor from my laptop the output should go to my laptop screen. In Xorg-server 1.2.0 i didn't have this problem because the output was simultaneous on my external monitor and my laptop screen.


Any help will be greatlly apreciated.
If i can't solve this problem then i'l have to go back to server 1.2.0 hmm
PS - As a side note i've noticed from using xorg-server 1.3.0 that sometimes the gamma from games sometimes goes to the default value, it must be a Xorg-server bug.

xf86-video-intel supports the new xrandr interface:

Commands like xrandr --auto or xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1280x800 or xrandr --output VGA --off should help you.

Many thanks but i've downgraded, Enemy Territory would keep on crashing and to me that was a no go ... cool when it's in current i'll give it a try.
