rhythmbox has to start twice

I can't start rhythmbox unless I start it twice, the terminal shows at the first start:

[gl@myhost ~]$ rhythmbox

(rhythmbox:6488): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: MDNS service is not running

Then start it twice at the same time, it works. Very strange problem. Could someone give a fix, thanks.

It is complaining that avahi-daemon is not running. You can put "avahi-daemon" into DAEMONS in rc.conf to resolve this, or maybe rhythmbox has an option to not use it.

I don't think this is actually the reason for the problem, though, but you might try it anyway.

I haven't enabled avahi-daemon in my system, rhythmbox starts properly and doesn't complain about mdns. Maybe you enabled DAAP sharing plugin, which IIRC requires avahi.
