website is out of sync with pacman repository

apolos is on the website package search facility, but not in pacman nor abs

could it be that the pacman repos are not always in sync ?

Are you using 64-bit arch?  Apolos hasn't been built for arch-64 yet.

Currently, apolos doesn't build anymore on either architecture. It'll probably need a lot of patching and the last version dates from a couple years ago. I would recommend looking for another app. I use grip as cd player.
