no sound

I did a reinstall today, and i have no sound. I have alsa installed, and add my user to the audio group. But when i click on the speaker icon it gives me an error message.

No Volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found.

I installed the gstreamer alsa plugin, but still nothing. any ideas.

also if it helps

I got, thanks anyway. Not sure what i did to get it to work, but its going.
