[UNSOLVED] CD Recording

I'm having issues with CD Recording.

This is all being run as root by the way.

"xcdroast -d 100" returns an infinite loop of

Trying to map to old ATA syntax. This workaround will disappear in the near future. Fix your configuration.Unable to open this SCSI ID.

"cdrecord -scanbus" returns

scsibus1:
        1,0,0   100) 'CDWRITER' 'IDE5224         ' 'S027' Removable CD-ROM
        1,1,0   101) *
        1,2,0   102) *
        1,3,0   103) *
        1,4,0   104) *
        1,5,0   105) *
        1,6,0   106) *

I also tried graveman and that froze as well when scanning cd drives.

I can mount cds fine so I know that its setup correctly at least inside of the computer.

Any ideas? sad

Re: [UNSOLVED] CD Recording

Perhaps you are using wrong ATA drivers? What kernel are you running and what is the output of dmesg?

Re: [UNSOLVED] CD Recording

I was having this issue as well with two completely different drives.
I ended up fixing it through my favorite burning software (bashburn) by changing the configuration from /dev/sr0 to /dev/scd0

And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is found.
"This is it... this is where I belong..."

Re: [UNSOLVED] CD Recording

K3B is the only burning app I've had any degree of success with.
