Hi all, I'm having an odd problem with Arch, Firefox automatically starts up after each boot but I haven't put it in autostart so I can't see why its doing this.

Try closing firefox before leaving kde.
Otherwise, try finding the option in kde control center for starting with a clean session.
Who said you didn't need a firewall with linux?
About virus and spywares, I never saw any, but afaik there are a few linux viruses.
pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))
