Hi,
I have some mouse annoyances with my new archlinux installation.
It's an older computer, and I'm using a microsoft usb mouse.
I tried 2 different setups:
1) mouse connecten via usb->ps2 adapter in ps2 port. The mouse works perfectly, but when I shut down the pc the red led at the back of the mouse will not go out. Rather annoying because I have to sleep in that room. I used ubuntu on this computer with this setup and it worked there, so it has something to to with a configuration.
2) the mouse connected via USB. It works, but stops working from time to time. Then I have to rmmod uhci_hid and lsmod it again.
dmesg log from such a problem:

Modern mouses usually work better via USB (which is native for them)

The problem is it doesn't seem to be here like this.
The mouse works better on ps/2 (keeps always working), the only problem is that the shutdown forgets to switch of the power...

I remember reading about such issues on the forum already, don't remember the solution though.

Hi,
have tried to search but can't find no other than this thread.
If anybody remember how to fix this it would be great
