Eclipse startup error when running as user

Hello, this is thursdayknights and I'm new to Arch and Linux in general.

So, I try to start Eclipse up, and I get this:

A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK)
must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine
was found after searching the following locations:
/opt/eclipse/jre/bin/java
'java' in your current PATH

When I run it as root, however, this message doesn't come up and everything works wonderfully.

Help?

Re: Eclipse startup error when running as user

I have this line in my ~/.bashrc:

export JAVA_HOME="/opt/java/jre/"

and eclipse works perfect.
