Thunar (in XFCE4) displays thumbnails of jpeg files, but double-clicking does not view them. Is there a preferred app that works well for displaying picture files? Preferably one that integrates well with Thunar.

i use feh, its extremely fast, and serves its purpose well.
"pacman -S feh" and then when you double click a picture file and the dialog comes up, click "other command" and type in "feh"

I like EOG (Eye Of Gnome), it's lightweight and fast.

gqview, functional and fast.

I recommend gthumb if you don't mind the libgnomeui and libghoto dependencies. It's one of the best non-kde image viewers out there.

I figured I'd put in a vote for qiv, since no one else was agreeing with anyone I certainly must follow the flow.
Seriously though, qiv is nice and I have it configured to open my image files in thunar.

I use Mirage. To me it seemed lightweight enough to suit XFCE.

mirage is also one of the few (if not only?) lightweight ones that play animated gifs. not counting the gnome and kde image viewers.

I second that. It also creates Web Photo Albums to upload to your Webspace in a simple way.

Wow thanks, several viewers I never heard of. I'll try each of them!
