Yeah,' compiz --replace ccp &' gave me that same error you posted, but 'compiz-manager' worked like a charm. But it seems that command no longer exists.

Odd, I'll try it on my system when I get back from work.

indeed, it seems that command doesn't exist anymore. Anyone have a solution that will enable correct the errors with using the standard command?

fusion-icon-git is the new compiz-manager. Install that and it will do what compiz-manager did.

My fusion-icon (the icon itself, not the application) has been broken for a while. I linked the executable again but it didn't work.

Hello,
It seems libx11-xcb is missing from the arch64 repo.
To fix I just downloaded the PKGBUILD and files needed from the repo and built it myself

Only one thing, very OT ( but I don't want to open a new post for a secondary thing ):
nesl is the new maintainer of compiz in community. My idea ( compiz splitted in -core, -decorator-kde and -decorator-gnome to reduce dependencies, waitinig 0.6.0 to port compiz-fusion in community ) isn't too much appreciated, so I have disowned these packages.
Thank you

Hi folks.
I want to apologize for the delay in any updates and or fixes (such as the missing compiz 0.5.2 package). The reason is that my hard drive died, and it contained all of my repo scripts, along with my archlinux installation, and other stuff. So I just got arch installed this weekend, and today I'll go and try and update everything.
Normally I would have had it already done, but with school and all, my time is more restricted, so getting everything back up and running was not possible during the week.
Thank you in advance for understanding, and if you don't, please feel free to email me at nesl247 @ gmail.com with any complains (would like to keep this thread clean).
Sincerely,
Alex Heck - nesl247

Hey, I got Compiz Fusion working well, the WM works, the cube/expose/.. works and the window decorations appear. I start it via compiz-fusion.
However, when i rightclick on the icon and click on preferences, nothing appears and i get this console output:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/fusion-icon/interface_gtk.py", line 30, in configure_menu_activate subprocess.Popen('ccsm') File "/usr/lib/python2.5/subprocess.py", line 593, in __init__ errread, errwrite) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/subprocess.py", line 1079, in _execute_child raise child_exception OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory
fixed it.. Installing ccsm resolved this. (yes i know it was on the wiki )
Maybe ccsm can be added as a dependency for fusion-icon?

Hey nesl247 its time to update your repo as there where made some nice changes to compiz lately.
Im sad I cant build the packages myself with the PKGBUILD files cause of some errors
Offline
I've rebuilt all packages, so please sync and test them. So this should fix the missing packages people had, and update them all.

Could you please add some 64bit packages for KDE? I would like to try out git, but the PKGBUILDs in the AUR are making me install gconf, which I do not want.

The [...] should be [compiz-fusion], not [compiz].

Hey, what's up with the 64bit repo? Is it still maintained?
Thanks.

Ok, so here's my issue:
Running XFCE4 and Compiz-fusion-git with AIGLX and the opensource ATI drivers.
I can start xfce, it appears as if compiz tries to start in that all my windows have no porders and my pointer is the standard X from x windows.
So, I try to launch compiz-manager from the tool menu and nothing happens. So then I launch a terminal window and run as root: fusion-icon (if I do it as a standard user it locks the computer up). This doesnt seem to complete, but it turns on all the affects for compiz, but no window borders.
So then I run the command: emerald --replace, which gives me my window borders.
Now everything is running fine, cube, wobblies, etc. However I am unable to access the compiz manager menu item, and there is no icon anywhere on my system for fusion.
Anyone have any ideas on how I may be able to get these two things working, and also on how I can go about editing my startup items so I dont have to run all these commands by hand each time I launch xfce?
Thanks in advance!
