Looking for Non-QT Cd-Burning Tool

I am looking for a GTK2, nCurses or Command Line oriented Program (in that order of preference) to burn CD/DVD.

It should have support for Video-DVD and burning ISO. Also creating AudioCDs from .mp3, .ogg files would be nice.

I use openbox and dont want to install k3b there.
Any suggestions?

I only burn iso these days, and a frontend isn't needed for that, so I just use cdrecord directly (well, wodim now).

I need the funktionality to create "New Video-DVD" and tell the programm the path to VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS

gnomebaker is dead  as a project. use the command line until a decent graveman-like app reappears. the arch wiki has decent examples on how to burn cds/dvd in cli

I've lately updated Brasero in community. Maybe worth a look for you, it has gnome depends (nautilus-cd-burner), but shouldn't be too heavy thoguh.

another one to look at is MyBashburn which is from best I can tell bashburn with an ncurses frontend..

I am using cdrskin for multi-session DVD-R (works with CDs also) and it has performed without error.
Look at:

I used the static build: cdrskin_0.3.8.p100-x86-suse9.0-static.tar.gz

I run it as a shell script out of my home directory.

If you don't have a problem with commercial software there is Nero Linux 3 which is GTK2

GnomeBaker may be dead as a project, but the version of it in the Arch repositories is alive and well. I was just using it last night! I am running Arch 2007.08 (Don't Panic) and I had refreshed the package database before loading it.

Graveman is broken on Arch (or at least KDE on Arch - I run KDE) right now. It starts up and then gets hung. Lots of reports of this in the multimedia forum.

XCDRoast is an old timer - quirky interface, but light n fast, and gets the job done. It just takes some getting used to.

It's broken regardless of the desktop environment or window manager, and has been for a few months.

Yes, I use openbox and tried Graveman. It says its checking my drive and then bumps the CPU up to 100% killing the box.

Graveman has a peculiar behaviour: I installed it, and tried to burn. At first it couldn't recognize the devices, so I manually added them in preferences, then it seemed to work ok, so I burned two audio cd's, but when I wanted to listen to them I found out that they had been burned as static (parasitic noise). So I'me getting rid of graveman. I use kde, but the idea of a small app with minimal dependencies seemed attractive; it seems attractive now, but not via graveman.

I'm going to throw my vote in for Nero 3. It's GTK2 based, it's fast, it's simple and it supports near enough everything you may want it to do. You can grab a free demo from their website to try it out.

i found cdw.sourceforge.net today. it seems to be both a cli and a gtk2 frontend app. im gonna give it a try later.
