Maybe making the loading bar a bit transparent so it becomes a mixture of white and blue, otherwise it is looking good smile

Re: Splash screen for GNOME 2.20

I didn't wanted to create new thread. Got a question:
Is the only way how to manage gnome splash screen through gnome-splashscreen-manager? How can I disable it or modify the background which is in the back during splash screen? Is there any conf file which is setting this? big_smile

thanx

Re: Splash screen for GNOME 2.20

Theres a key in gconf-editor for it. just search for splash. There you can disable the splash or set the splash image
Edit: I just looked where it is: /apps/gnome-session

I just use one of the logos from the artwork page with a nice colour set behind it. It looks pretty good

Re: Splash screen for GNOME 2.20

The best splash screen is no splash screen. Spooky's looks nice and all (great actually), but one of the first things I always did when I used GNOME was disable the splash.

As alex said though, there are lots of logo choices at http://www.archlinux.org/art/
