Is there a cood video conversion tool? with aGUI, preferbly for KDE

Try konverter. It's in the AUR.

I've never used it, but it's only a frontend to mencoder (which I have used)...
Edit:
I just installed it after looking about some screenshots (http://www.kraus.tk/projects/konverter/). I think it looks like it will be good.

dvdtube - download all uploads from a YouTube user and then optionally create a DVD.
(Regular version AUR link / SVN version AUR link)

Manencode looks pretty sweet

Mencoder has many GUI conversion elements including quicktime, jpeg or png to video, join .avi's, msmpeg4v2 and others and works in KDE.
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!

I use avidemux on GNOME. it's a lightweight, very stable GUI for converting video files from one codec/filetype to another. Very easy to use too. I highly recommend it.
