Hey
I have a LG laptop and am using KLaptop (and KDEmod).
When plugging off my computer, KLaptop does not switch the cpufreq governor to powersave (though it does
recognize that the computer is not plugged in anymore) - cpufreq-info still indicate "performance".
KLaptop seems (?) to be configured OK.
Tnx in advance

I don't know how it works in KDE, but I think it might be necessary to load the necessary governor modules at startup (add them to the modules array in rc.conf). The name of the powersave module, I think, is "cpufreq_powersave".

Tnx for the reply.
Already doing so. Still doesn't work.

Are you able to change the governor using cpufreq-set? Something like "sudo cpufreq-set -g powersave"? If this works then I guess this is a KDE issue somehow...

I use KIMA, it does its job properly.
You can find it in the kdemod-applets package, and you need a working cpufreqd.
want a modular and tweaked KDE for arch? try kdemod
