wine 0.9.44 and Warcraft 3

It's my first post so i want to say hi all. Here's my problem: I've recently updated my wine(0.9.39) to 0.9.44 and my Warcraft 3 stopped working:/ I tired reinstalling it but the problem didn't disappeared - when i try to launch it all i get is black screen. It worked fine on 0.9.39, I've searched the net but haven't found anyone with similar problem. Any ideas what the reason may be?

Aren't you able to downgrade wine to the version you used earlier?

You might want to check that page http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=897
And that: http://wiki.winehq.org/DebugChannels?ac … =winedebug
Also post your problem to developers/user mailing list if nothing helps: http://www.winehq.org/site/forums

gunnarbot, of course I'm able to downgrade and i've done so, but i would really like to know why it isn't working properly. Funny thing is that my friend is using wine 0.9.44 to play War III(but on Ubuntu) and it works fine...
corrupt, thanks for links.

That is very strange.  I have it running fine for me.  My first suggestion is honestly to back up your save games and downloaded maps and simply uninstall the game, delete the Warcraft III folder and reinstall.  I pretty much guarantee that it will fix your problem, as it worked for me.

Otherwise, launch the game from terminal and post the output here and I'll see if I can trace down a problem..

I had to run Warcraft III without frozen throne once before getting frozen throne to work.
