File Handling

How do I set a default File Manager?  It defaults to Nautilus, but it doesn't have all the icons at the top and everything.  How do I enable the full nautilus?

Also, how do I make it so when I double click a .jpg or .png it opens with Image Viewer and not GQview?

Thanks.

Re: File Handling

I am not sure whether it solves your first problem, but to change default nautilus view to browser view (standard in earlier gnome releases), open window with nautilus preferences and check  'open in browser window' (or something similar).

To select default program for file type, right click on the file and select its preferences. On 'open with' tab select new program to handle the file type.

PS. Since I'm not using English version of gnome, option names may differ (I just guessed their English equivalents).
