Disappearing of the daemons list on shutdown/reboot

When I rebooted/halted my system, there was a list of daemons like

Stopping Daemon 1          [Done]
Stopping Daemon 2          [Done]
Stopping Daemon 3          [Done]

now... from about 2 days, I can't see this list anymore. The system says "sended HALT signal etc. etc." and it just powers off.

What could it be? How could I restore the daemons list? Thank you very much.

P.S.
When booting I can still see "Starting Daemon 1          [Done]" and so... the problem is just on reboot/shutdown.

That should all appear on VC1 - are you sure that's what you're looking at?  Ctrl+Alt+F1 will bring you there

I've reinstalled "initscripts" and it seemed fixed. However after some hours it is reappeared, and reinstalling initscripts fixed it again. If this will happen again, I'll try Ctrl+ALT+F1. I reboot my system from an XFCE session, I don't know why it should change VC. I've already checked my filesystem integrity (xfs_check).

When using gdm as login manager, the initscript messages are on vc7 (where is/was the x server running). However the system changes to vc1. This is interesting.

You should see the daemon list fine if you use the inittab method for starting your login manager (rather than the daemon method.)  Have a look at this wiki page: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GDM#Inittab_Method

Then you won't see any shutdown messages. I'm also using Xfce (with 'startxfce4') to shut down the system.

Pressing Ctrl+ALT+F1 when I don't see "the list" doesn't work, however reinstalling "initscripts" *does* work, until someday you don't see them anymore... and you have to reinstall "initscripts" again.
