BitchX/ircii-pana not working

It gives me a segfault as soon as it tries to connect to a server. I tried building it myself and tried all the different compilers(I think) using:

CC=gcc3 and CC=gcc34

and then modifying PKGBUILD to use "make -e"

but it still generates an error after giving me tons of warnings and then stops. Is this when you should file a bug report? My system was installed one our ago so its fresh alright.

Re: BitchX/ircii-pana not working

Developing BitchX was ceased long ago, current compilers dont like the source.
I think the segfault is caused by the assemler and the answer could be --disable-amd64 on configure.
Only if it would compile....

Edit:
I use 32bit BitchX as I can't give up on using it.
One solution could be borrowing patches from debian sid.
Gotta look on it.
