Arch on Thinkpad T61

Hi,
I've been running Arch on my core2 duo box for 4 months and everything works great.
I just bought a T61 and found that the hardware on it makes it very difficult to get wireless, sound and nvidia running in Arch "Don't Panic"
I'm a little bit past the noob stage and have followed the threads and tried all the detailed instructions I can find to get these things working but I've had no luck so far. Probably my lack of experience.
It's a bit over my head so I would appreciate any advice from people who've had success on this machine.
It runs well with a wired connection but I love to get sound and wireless and using the built in Nvidia chip.

Maybe I should wait till the drivers get more up to date to work without these advanced methods of installing?
Any thoughts? I don't want to give up on it. Am I on the right track? Maybe I should have bought  a T43.:(

Wireless :
From what I've read... if you've got the Intel 3945ABG 802.11abg wireless controller, you should use the use the ipw3945 driver.

Graphic Card :
"The Nvidia GeForce Go 8400 which is included with the T61 does not function with the built in nv driver so you will need to use the the Nvidia's proprietary driver."

Sound :
You'll have to use the snd-hda-intel driver, normally (I think) it should have added it to your modules list in /etc/rc.conf automatically.
If it's there and it still doesn't work... try "modprobe snd_intel8x0"

i'm using t42 and had no problem enabling wireless and sound. just followed wiki.

For wireless, you could have the 3945 or the 4965.  The wiki has the information for the 4965, and I believe 3945 works very well with the drivers fizdev suggested

BTW I got my Nvidia card working on the T61

Anyone getting HAL to work properly?
