[VMware guest] OpenOffice won't start - .so too short

I've recently installed Arch (32 bit) in a VMware guest. I can't start OpenOffice as a regular user nor as root:

[root@y]# soffice
/opt/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: /opt/openoffice/program/libtl680li.so: file too short

I've tried reinstalling OOo, even using different mirrors (after clearing pacman's cache) but to no avail. I'm pretty stuck now.

I think I found the cause: /opt was completely filled up. Pacman didn't complain though.
