[SOLVED] Scary: Cannot delete files - Filesystem error?

Hi,

there are three files on my desktop I have to delete everytime I log in. I even tried to delete them as root with rm -f just to see if the root superpower helps :-)

Is this a filesystem error? How can I delete the files? Should I try to wipe them of my disk?

Maybe anyone had the same problem once...

What are these files called?

They are regular calendar files, called export_vacation_vcal.vcs, export.vcs and export_vcal.vcs.

Re: [SOLVED] Scary: Cannot delete files - Filesystem error?

Are they not some default files that some program you use creates? Seems a more logical conclusion compared to filesystem corruption...
Are they created under your ${HOME} somewhere?
If you don't boot into X (as in, you boot to a console only, no login-manager), do they still appear?

Re: [SOLVED] Scary: Cannot delete files - Filesystem error?

Okay, I solved the mystery :-)

Everytime I log into KDE Kontact starts automatically. I added these .vcs files to its calendar program a few days ago. I don't know why Kontact recreates the files everytime it starts, altough obviously the data is already available, but it does.

Anyway thanks for your help, klixon.
