Gnome applets with wmii/ion?

Hi,
Is it possible to use gnome applets such as nm-applet (I need it for my laptop) on some type of dock with wmii or ion? Otherwise I'll have to stick with XFCE.

works for me under dwm, should work identically under both wmii and ion.

Trayer worked like a charm, thanks.

The only problem I had though was that the applet itself wouldn't start unless you had the icons it is using, which are apparently not included in the package.
