"Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init" on new install

Just tried to install the most recent version of Arch Linux, and recieved this error after install. I auto-partioned at my whole drive. Here are the two preceding lines of output I am given.

kinit: Cannot open root device sda3(8,3)
kinit: init not found

Same thing happens to me when trying to install to my Pentium III box using the latest ISO.  I'll try appending legacyide like the other post suggests, as it's an older box I use for my Linux tinkering.

I'd beware using the IDE Legacy boot option. I just tried it as a possible fix, and it's made my hard drive no longer bootable.
