Thunderbird borked (solved)

I was playing in control panel (yes I know) and thunderbird can't connect "failed to connect to server pop" is the message I get.
Any suggestions besides don't play with settings.

Re: Thunderbird borked (solved)

Do you mean you were playing in the Thunderbird Account Settings?  There's a whole lotta stuff you can mess up in there if you don't know what you're doing.

There's not much help anyone can offer unless we knew what you modified.  My suggestion would be to delete your account information and start over.

Re: Thunderbird borked (solved)

No it was the KDE control panel. It's not a KDE problem I installed gnome and I removed thunderbird including .thunderbird and reinstalled still doesn't work. Works on my sons box he uses that other system.

Re: Thunderbird borked (solved)

I have no idea, Norm... I can't imagine what setting in the KDE control panel would affect only POP email (or even JUST email), but then again I don't use KDE smile

I think this originated at my service providers end.
