Hide Files

How do I hide a file in KDE?  Within Konqueror I see the "Show Hidden Files" option in the menu, but I see no way to make a file hidden.

a hiden file is just a file that starts with a . (dot)
so to make a hiden file just name or rename it with a beggining dot

also, create a file '.hidden' in the same directory ... and add the file's name to it ...
