Hello all,
I've been using Kino for video editing, which works fine but has some limitations.
I really like to give a try to kdenlive. However, it never worked.
I just recompiled ffmpeg with --enable-swscaler, (see this post : http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=36932)
then mlt,
then mlt++
then kdenlive (using the PKGBUILD from AUR, v0.5)
but nothing changes, it still crashes ..... even with just an audio file (.ogg)
kdenlive: + + YOUR MLT INSTALL WAS FOUND IN: /usr
kdenlive: Mlt inited
kdenlive: Creating new document
kdenlive: deleting contents...
kdenlive: Creating new document DONE
KCrash: Application 'kdenlive' crashing...
Did somebody solved that problem ? Any idea about what I should do next ?

Kdenlive is all sorts of disfunctional. The last subversion build that I had worked a little bit, but the one I built today has the exact same problem as you're having. This software is a long way from release ready.
