Ladislav Bodnar of Distrowatch has a very complimentary article about Arch in the British print magazine Linux Format this month. It's probably not online, but here's the conclusion:
While it's true that this is not a beginner's distro, those users who are moderately experienced and who enjoy tinkering with their operating system will find in Arch a near-perfect companion.
Amen to that! ![]()

From their website:
Distrowatch: Arch angel - Ark Linux: a clean, fast distro for expert users. Plus: OpenSUSE 10.3 beta, Parted Magic 1.8, Slackware 12.0 derivatives (Ladislav Bodnar)

The funny thing is that on the DVD for this issue they actually include:
user-friendly Ark Linux 2007.1
The article itself, which I am sure does not include "typos" of this sort, unfortunately does not seem to be available online.

Oh dear. Well, I've mentioned it on their forum, so we'll see what happens.

Near-perfect?! Heresy! Burn him! Buuuuurn him!
J/K. I've been playing too much Painkiller lately. My apologies.
I did do a search on both Arch and Ladislav, but as you cite, the article apparently hasn't posted yet on their share of the tubes. I still think, however, that you don't have to be "moderately experienced" with linux to use Arch though. I think we should really quantify that misnomer as "anyone with technical prowess" instead. I've had a few window user friends put down their pitch fork and torches with little or no guidance from myself while immersing themselves in some Arch holy water. Granted, some of them have engineering degrees, but zero linux experience.

Now we just need to get them to change the "near-perfect" mistake ![]()
