Firefox won't run - segfault error

Hey guys.

Must have done something woird the other day... when I try to run FF I get:

(firefox-bin:2493): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_property_get(): length value has wrapped in calculation (did you pass G_MAXLONG?)
/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-1.0.4/run-mozilla.sh: line 159:  2493 Segmentation fault      "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

Ideas?

Re: Firefox won't run - segfault error

Likely a font problem.
Try
pacman -S strace
strace - o "file" /opt/mozilla/bin/firefox
Replace "file" with something of your choice, e.g. home/tmadhavan/debug

Microshaft delenda est

Re: Firefox won't run - segfault error

Try renaming your config, .mozilla, see if that fixes it.

Re: Firefox won't run - segfault error

Not sure about the .mozilla thinc, I don't have a config file of that name, just the directory.

The output of strace is pretty long, I'll post the second half or so, the rest if necessary.

Cheers

Re: Firefox won't run - segfault error

Does yours crash instantly? Mine seems to just randomly go down without warning after using it heavilly for about a hour - instead of worrying about it, I assumed it would fix itself in a newer version, and just installed session saver, heh

Re: Firefox won't run - segfault error

I had the same problem. Turns out the memory was bad. (memtest86 may not pick it up - it didn't for me).
