fan full speed after suspend to ram

suspend to ram works perfectly here on toshiba notebook, but after resume the fan runs on full speed. have phoenix BIOS read that fan control is not possible with such a BIOS.
sensors does not show the fan speed.

could not find any help full speed fan after suspend2ram in the forums.

sensors shows only temp:

Re: fan full speed after suspend to ram

I have used two different Toshiba Satellite laptops with Phoenix bios (A30 and M35), and I've never experienced anything like you're describing.  I think you may be right about software fan control being impossible with your laptop but it wouldn't hurt, I guess, to rmmod a bunch of acpi modules ("processor", "thermal", "fan") and such prior to suspending and then modprobing them after resume to see if that helps...  Also check the toshiba website to see if they have an updated bios for your laptop.  Other than that, it could be a DSDT/ECDT problem, which would suck, but it's not the end of the world.  Have a look here (http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Fix_Common_ACPI_Problems) - it looks intimidating but I have been through this ordeal once and it's all certainly doable.  If I think of anything else I'll let you know... Good luck!
