Hi there,
I cannot seem to make the current nomachine client for Windows produce a working connection to FreeNX server which I have just installed on my Arch box. I've turned the logging level on the server up to '6' (or debug, according to the config), which just produces:
-- NX SERVER START: -c /opt/NX/bin/nxserver - ORIG_COMMAND=
HELLO NXSERVER - Version 1.5.0-61-SVN OS (GPL)
NX> 105 quit
everytime I try to connect.
The client gives me:
NX> 203 NXSSH running with pid: 5180
NX> 285 Enabling check on switch command
NX> 285 Enabling skip of SSH config files
NX> 285 Setting the preferred NX options
NX> 200 Connected to address: 192.168.1.71 on port: 22
NX> 202 Authenticating user: nx
NX> 208 Using auth method: publickey
/opt/NX/bin/nxloadconfig: line 285: /opt/kde/bin/kde-config: No such file or directory
HELLO NXSERVER - Version 1.5.0-61-SVN OS (GPL)
NX> 105 Killed by signal 15.
I've spent some time googling and searching forums but have drawn a blank - there must be someone out there who knows how to solve this (I'm sure it must be something really simple).
Thanks
-Laurence

Had the same problem:
Work around - install kdelibs

Thanks!
I was (incorrectly) assuming that the kde-config message was non-fatal as I have not got KDE, or any of its components, installed. Installing kdelibs (and qt, and flac, and ...., and all the other dependencies) fixed it.

Or just set KDE_PRINTRC="$HOME/kdeprintrc" in /opt/NX/etc/node.conf
