I have tried Splashy, which is very buggy at the moment..I am wondering if there is a prepatched kernel for 64bit which provides the patches for fbsplash and is relatively up to date. I do not mind if it is in the AUR because I have yaourt..great program by the way, I highly recommend it.

There are various patched kernel builds in the AUR - have a look to see which one has fbsplash.
Also, if it's just boot-time splash you're looking for, you can use fbsplash with the stock kernel.

Oh I didn't know you could get a bootsplash (fbsplash) without a special kernel. I like being on the bleeding edge, so I guess I'll stick with fbsplash and the stock kernel.
EDIT: Ok so how do I do this? I've looked in the wiki and it says I have to patch my kernel...I don't want to have to do that...
EDIT2: I found the kernel26fallen in the AUR, which looks pretty good. But there is no Gensplash in community for 64bit! So now how do I install Gensplash?
