T61 Fn brightness keys

Hi guys!

Ive just bought T61 and Ive got some problem. The Fn brightness keys simply dont work (on kde, switching to ctrl+alt+f1 they work. On the other side Fn+light key works properly).
I tried this way http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Thinkpad_OSD but it didnt help. Does anyone have any solution ?

Re: T61 Fn brightness keys

I had to make sure the video module was loaded on my Toshiba laptop for the brightness keys to work:

Try:
modprobe video

Re: T61 Fn brightness keys

I'd actually check if there is video module loaded and rmmod it. On t60 with 2.6.22 brightness wouldn't work unless I removed the driver

indeed, it doesnt work without that module, i mean i cant see any new window with % of brightness. and if its loaded that window occurs. I also tried this way:

[root@plum ~]# echo "down" >/proc/acpi/ibm/brightness
[root@plum ~]# echo "up" >/proc/acpi/ibm/brightness

and its still the same brightness.

Re: T61 Fn brightness keys

for those who have similar problem like me. Ive found here: http://www.ces.clemson.edu/linux/f7_setup.shtml that is a nvidia drivers problem.
