GNOME can't start - debug error

Using GDM,
I had my power go with my computer on with gnome running and now when I try to log into a Gnome session, it fails
At first it said there was a problem due to the lack of Gnome Bud Buddy (bug reporting tool) and told me to install it, so I logged into my fluxbox session (working fine) and installed bug-buddy.
Now if I try to log into gnome, I have an error saying 'GDB not found: Debugging data will not be obtained'
It has an OK button, I press this and am sent back to GDM, with no change if I try logging in again.

Any ideas?

pacman -S gdb
Perhaps you could try creating a new user, with clean home directory, and see, if it works.

Re: GNOME can't start - debug error

Try  deleting ~/.gnome2/session this hack is suggested by arch wiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gnome in Common problems.

The program is running. Quit anyway (and detach it)? (y or n) [answered Y; input not from terminal]
