Can't Install ntp

When I run "pacman -S ntp", I get an error:

error:  failed to commit transavtion (conflicting files)
ntp:  /etc/ntp.conf exits in filesystem

I checked and ntp.conf does exist and contains the default contents for ntp.conf.  (ie.  restrict default noquery ...).
I do not have have binaries for ntpd, ntpupdate, ntpq etc on my system.

Why would I have a ntp.conf file?
I don't remember ever installing ntp (and it clearly is not installed now).
Would another package have installed this config file?

I guess the solution would be to delete /etc/ntp.conf and run pacman again.  Is this correct?

Re: Can't Install ntp

Just move ntp.conf to another dir (if this need you), install ntpd and then resettle ntp.conf

Re: Can't Install ntp

Thanks.  It worked. Got ntp working.

I see the Arch wiki page for ntp is out of date.  When I have a cance I will update it.
