For AUR packages:
1) download the tarball
2) unpack it
3) enter the newly created directory (there should be a "PKGBUILD" file there)
4) type "makepkg"
5) this will create a package file - install it using "pacman -U *.pkg.tar.gz"
6) read more about AUR here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR
EDIT: This particular package doesn't build on my system for some reason, though

I heared that appliacation installed in /opt wont be preloaded
what to do for get preloaded applications in /opt (firefox and OpenOffice)
