Good evening
I normally use the KDE automounter to handle external storage devices, but it stopped working for me this afternoon. I suspected the kdemod-kdebase - update as the reason for the breakage, but downgrading it would not solve the problem. I also tried booting the -ck kernel instead of the stock kernel, but both would not provide the automount functionality. Manual mount works, but is very inconvenient for me.
I am using these kernels.
local/kernel26 2.6.22.8-1 (base)
The Linux Kernel and modules
local/kernel26ck 2.6.22.7.ck1-1
The Linux Kernel and modules, compiled with the -ck patchset for improved system responsiveness and interactivity
Anyone encountered similar problems? I'm running KDEmod, latest version from the repositories.
Thanks for your help in advance,
cg

Got the same problem about a week ago but with standard KDE. I've already posted in this thread and this thread
