Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

It is good, since I wish I can make something like that, but I feel the green in the right side must be complemented on the left side to give balance, I don't feel like the 0101 in green at both left corners compliment this in a balanced way. Well still is only an opinion, but I really like the concept of having the Arch Logo in different colors so it could match my mood of wallpaper the day I want everything to look green. big_smile

Thanks for this great wallpaper ! big_smile
I used the /dev/urandom-wallpaper until now, but yours looks so much better - and fits perfectly with my greenish StumpWM-theme wink

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

Thanks to you both.

@kensai: You're not the first to request that, but I am still a little hesitant to balance it out - the reason I faded out the binary code to the left is because most people put their icons in that side, and I don't wan't my wallpaper to disturb peoples icon-arrangement smile

Even though, I might do a version with more balance - so people could choose.

I think my next wallpaper is going to be a red theme.

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

I agree with Kensai, I don't think the left and right blend together well, but I must say I love it. I think I like the 010101 better, I'd like to see one all that. Nice work! smile

New wallpaper, in which I try to balance the sides, and give Acid7711 his binary code all over the place :-)

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

@Wesley: Thank you smile For your request: You could in fact just open your favorite picture editor and set a red hue yourself :-P Heh, I'll see if I can spare the time, though.

Btw, new one already, this time in a 'living' blue, as well as an unmodified arch-logo: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=67455

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

I like the blue version even though I wish that you could have fixed/removed the thing that is supoposed to be a shadow.
I don't like the last one since the logo look really strange with just 4 (?) colors.

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

The red desktop is perfect for anyone who logs into root, just to remind them "hey your in root".  Personally I never log into x as root directly but I'm sure there are some who must.

Anyways.. they all look great.

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

heavenquake : can you upload the blue one without the logo in the center ? I would like to modify it and use an alternative logo instead ( I won't redistribute it, just for personal use ). Thank you.

Re: A piece of Archwork ;-)

My most popular Binary Arch wallpaper has been modified to sport the new logo, and also witness an increase in sex-appeal due to some drop shadow.

Enjoy smile
