It's time again to bump db and heimdal.
It's a .so bump and will force us to rebuild packages that depend on them. The new packages are in testing and packages we use our own have already been rebuilt. But there are many hidden dependencies. Please file bugs in flyspray if you find packages that need a rebuild.
Also our TUs should preprare their packages.

bogofilter broke for me. I'll report in flyspray too

The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_ClockApplet".
The only broken application I have now is that, the gnome clock applet. So I believe gnome-applets need to be rebuilt.
Also I see weather report applet does not update with the current weather it just stays with a question mark, I think this can be related since it stopped working right after the update.

It broke the KDE http kio-slave. There are already updated packages available for KDEmod, but this might not be the case for the vanilla Arch KDE.

KDE works fine :-)

It broke libkdevcatalog.so in KDevelop, making it impossible to load or create C++ projects

kdevelop is already rebuilt, which package you ahve installed?

kdevelop-3.4.1.20070730-1
Maybe it's only been rebuilt for i686 and not x86_64?
Offline
yes. x86_64 is still missing. see https://www.archlinux.org/~andyrtr/pkg_diff.html

apache seems to be affected as well
since it's a minor number pop for db, wouldn't it be better/safer/easier to rebuild all packages that have db listed as dependency?

@bboozzoo: We have done this already. The only problem is, that some apps (like amarok reported above) have no db in dependencies. Nearly every program, that have a dependency listed in the PKGBUILD was rebuilt (if I can remember, it's possible that I'm wrong). Maybe we miss one or two packages, that's possible...
EDIT: apache was rebuild with new db 6 days ago...

Sometimes its just a "hidden" dependency. E.g: php depends on gdbm which again depends on db.

If I may have a request, since we are bumping db and heimdal. Is it possible to bump libmtp to 0.2 as well? It will however require some soname rebuilds because of libmtp.so.5 > libmtp.so.6 change.

hm. i've run a grep over our extra repo cvs and cannot find any pkg depending on libmtp. so i prefer to remove the pkg from the repos.
