what kernel are you running?

are we going all to 2.6? from when is the 2.4 obsolete? ... maybe this poll can give some infos

I have used 2.6 since -test7 or something, and I have yet to look back at 2.4.*.
I prefer to build the kernel myself, and for now I run a vanilla 2.6.6. I used to patch it with supermount and bootsplash, but I chose autofs and less bloat instead.  8)
