User contributions:forname of releases after 0.7:ORCAH

The post in user contributions referring to naming the new release has been...locked.

It seems such action has to be accompanied by notification of the author...such was not done.

It amounts to censorship and the voice of the user is disregarded.  The names suggested will never appear anywhere, even on the subsequent releases after 0.7.

Many "polls" appear in arch most based on poor questions at the outset because the comparisons implied in the polls have never occured because the userrs have never used all types involved in the poll question.  Perhaps ambiguous polls should be locked as well?

Thank you for following the rules about closing, moving, and otherwise handling an author's input.  I guess these rules apply to user only?

No such thing as censorship on a private forum. wink

Also, Arch is based in Canada. They're not big on "rights".

I agree with the 1st poster. why a thread was locked down?
I didn't participated but what's so bad about proposing a name of a distro?
thank you

ps. if you're an american [the last poster] you shouldn't compare your country's currect human rights with Canada's. No offense

it's because the name's already been decided.

I think the coolest name for 0.7 would be:

ARCH 0.7 HADOUKEN

One more post like that, suggesting a name for 0.7, and this thread gets it!  Don't push me, man!  You know I'll do it!

Nah, we weren't on against you.  For the record though, no more name posts. from anybody.

0.7 has been named, don't ask us why it hasn't been updated on the front page; that's just weird. :-D  0.7 will be named:

Wombat
