I'm trying figure out offlineimap but I'm having trouble getting offlineimap working in the first place. Here is my .offlineimaprc:
[general]
accounts = gmail
ui = Curses.Blinkenlights
[Account gmail]
localrepository = mylocal
remoterepository = myremote
autorefresh = 5
[Repository mylocal]
type = Maildir
localfolders = ~/Mail
[Repository myremote]
type = IMAP
remotehost = imap.gmail.com
ssl = yes
remoteport = 465
remoteuser = <my gmail account>
remotepass = <my gmail password>
Here is the error I'm getting:
Thread 'Account sync gmail' terminated with exception:

Thanks for any help you can give me in figuring this out.

remoteport = 465
Well...
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/imaplib.py", line 931, in _get_response
raise self.abort("unexpected response: '%s'" % resp)
abort: unexpected response: '220 mx.google.com ESMTP c12sm7800019nzc'
...port 465 is for SMTP over SSL and has little to do with IMAP. Try 993 instead.
