Re: disable KSM

If you are using the black (non-default) KSM theme, open kcontrol and go to appearance & themes -> ksm theme manager, and disable the theme...

If you mean the ubuntu logout (grey-ish with fat buttons), edit ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc and play with these options:

[Logout]
doFancyLogout=1/0 (new fade on/off)
doUbuntuLogout=1/0 (new gui on/off)
doFancyLogoutAdditionalDarkness=0.6 (default value is a double)
doFancyLogoutFadeTime=4000 (in ms, fade in)
doFancyLogoutFadeBackTime=1000 (in ms, fade out on cancel)

example entry to revert the logout screen to the KDE standard settings:

[Logout]
doFancyLogout=0
doUbuntuLogout=0

want a modular and tweaked KDE for arch? try kdemod
