writing support fur dvd-ram (udf)

Hello,

I'd like to write to my dvd-ram without packet writing (udftools), because they seem to be very buggy. Kernel 2.6 should be able to write udf. Here's my fstab

...
/dev/sr0 /media/ram udf,iso9660 rw,user,async,noauto,gid=100,uid=1000 0 0
...

When I do

mount /media/ram

I get this

mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only

and no writing is possible. What can I do?

The only devices I have in /etc/fstab are my harddisk partitions, nothing else. I mount floppy, cf-card and cd/dvd either through KDE/HAL or with pmount, no problems there. Are you sure there's already an udf filesystem on the dvdram?

Yes, the dvd-ram is udf formated. It was done in linux (udftools) and windows (Vista). Both with no success.

I know you can write-protect dvd-ram, maybe look into that?
